This Full Moon is called the Hunter’s Full Moon because it follows the Harvest Full Moon we had last month. Traditionally, this was the time to gather crops and prepare meat for winter. This was the season to hunt, as the bright Moon rises shortly after sunset, giving extra evening light for the hunters. Different cultures gave different names to the Full Moon, but they all reflected the changing of the seasons. Other traditional October Full Moon names included Drying Rice Moon, Falling Leaves Moon, Freezing or Ice Moon, and Migrating Moon.

Now that Pluto is moving forward again, it is time to integrate what you have learned and step into the transformed way you run your business and manage your capacity. Under this Full Moon, Pluto might bring up dark emotions, deep rage, resentment or feelings of betrayal.

Taurus is one of the four fixed signs, which follow the cardinal signs and “fix in place” the things previously started. These are the most stubborn signs with an unwavering determination. They are stable and persistent, hard-working and loyal. Taurus has themes around patience, reliability and security, making it an ideal Full Moon for looking at where you don’t feel safe.
